Canadian director Celine Song sat down with BAFTA to discuss her feature debut Past Lives which received multiple nominations at the BAFTAs and Oscars.

Partly biographical, especially the opening dinner scene, Celine Song’s screenplay found its way to A24 who embraced it and produced the debut.

Upon release, the movie wowed audiences and was on many people’s lists of their favourite films of the year. The final scene has become iconic in modern cinema.
