Making The Last of Us

Based on the video game franchise, The Last of Us was created for HBO, making it the first show they had ever made from a video game.

It quickly became the show to watch. Even those who had no exposure to the video game loved it. So much so, that each episode had an average audience of 32 million viewers.

The TV show was responsible for some of the best shots in any medium that year. There was a clear directing vision on display. This vision was seamlessly mixed with visual effects throughout.

In this official look at The Last of Us, HBO reveal the filmmaking processes and techniques used in season one.
