Greta Gerwig turned to directing, from acting, several years ago, and has not looked back since. Her feature debut as director, the Oscar-Nominated Lady Bird firmly established her as a director with a distinctive voice.
Greta followed this with the multiple award nominated Little Women adaptation.
However, Greta is most known for bringing the story of Barbie to the big screen and becoming the first female director in history to make over $1 billion at the box office with a single feature.
In the midst of this success, Greta sat down with Jessie Wright at the British Film Institute during the BFI Film Festival to discuss her filmmaking career.
