Director Dan Attias has been directing for forty years. During which time, he has received multiple Emmy nominations and won the DGA award for outstanding direction of dramatic television.

His career has seen him direct episodes of The Wire, The Sopranos, True Detective, Lost, Homeland, Entourage, The Walking Dead, The Americans, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Billions, and The Boys. 

In this interview, Dan shares advice on directing for television, and especially the importance of how to direct the first episode of a new season.
