Our Story
Why We Launched
The life of a director can often be a lonely one -- isolated and disconnected at times, especially between projects. Seeing fellow directors announce achievements can further add to the challenges during lull periods. Therefore, the Directors' Forum was launched to bring directors together in one global community. A supportive and inspirational community where directors can chat instantly with fellow directors in our private WhatsApp and Facebook groups. Ask advice, recommend crew, share links to their work, network with one another at live events, and be there for each other. Together, we are making the life of a director more enjoyable and supportive, than if they tried to navigate the industry alone. Together, we are a directing community -- the Directors' Forum.

James is a director himself and knew what the value of a support system could do for a filmmaker. So he was determined to create a global community for directors. A good natured environment to inspire them to purse their filmmaking dreams. To remove the barriers of misconception that directors work alone and do not share tips with each other. To also remove the notion of competition and create a space of equality where any filmmaker could ask for help and receive advice from their fellow filmmakers.
